The External Peripheral is an optional module and it can add LTC, Audio Output, GPIO, and RS422 interfaces to the MOG products.
The Module can be connected either to USB2.0 or USB3.0, the interface self-powered from the USB interface. The Auxiliary DC IN is not required for most applications, this power input is just required when a long USB cable is used, and the USB power is not enough. If you need to use an AC Adapter, it can be used any with a voltage between 9 to 13V and 1A output, the physical DC output must be a “barrel plug” with centered positive.
The Front Panel has the layout shown below and it has two status LEDs, LTC IN, Stereo Audio Out, a GPIO & RS422 connector for a breakout cable.
The provided breakout cable can be used to expand the available I/Os. To do so, connect the cable to the GPIO|RS422 connector on the external module.
