In our ongoing commitment to enhancing the MAM4PRO user experience, we are thrilled to introduce two new tools that have been recently implemented to significantly elevate your work, with a particular focus on enhancing PAM scenarios. These innovative additions are designed to simplify tasks and contribute to a more seamless and efficient workflow.
¶ Essences File Paths (since 2023.06.00)
Expanding on the information available in the Metadata widget, including linked files such as Video, Audio, Image, Thumbnail, Metadata, and Subtitles associated with the selected asset:
We’ve extended this visibility to encompass the path of any proxy file associated with the asset, ensuring that users have a holistic understanding of the asset’s content structure and dependencies:
Additionally, our system maintains the path of the original hi-res file even when it’s archived by highlighting it with a distinctive red icon. This serves as a visual indicator for future Disk-to-Disk Storage Manager needs, providing users with proactive insights for efficient asset management.
¶ Proxy Storage Location since 2023.07.00
In our pursuit of providing administrators with greater flexibility and optimizing workloads, we have implemented a dedicated storage system for the management of video proxies. This strategic enhancement ensures that functions such as downloads and temporary caching are now handled separately from proxy-related processes. To configure this setting, simply navigate to the “Settings > System” menu:
