Through the usage of Vizzi’s API is possible to develop a multitude of end-user frontends with a rich feature set.
Here we will present the case of a client that needed to adapt its frontend to the local legislation, needing to show the age classification of its content as well as a descriptor of the reason for this classification so that families can use them to choose the television programming, as well as the movies, series, shows, games, and apps that your children and teenagers may or may not have access to.
Rating Symbols
According to the legislation, there were six age classifications for the contents, and the classification can be made officially by the Ministry of Justice or by self-classification.
In the latter case, the letter A must be inserted in the rating symbol so that the public can easily see the origin of the rating.
In the end, we should then allow the client to present their content with one of the 12 official symbols that must be exactly like the ones below:
Content Descriptors
Information on the indicative rating includes content descriptors, which are a summary of the main indication trends present in the classified work. The list of descriptors explains the classification and informs parents and guardians about the type of content present in the audiovisual work.

¶ Let’s see how it was implemented
In keeping with our purpose of simplifying operations in Vizzi, we present the customer with a simple solution to be implemented that consists of filling in two new content metadata fields, one for the classification and another for the descriptor:
In this sense, when filling in the two metadata fields, Vizzi will present them in the frontend according to the color indication requested by the client to comply with the country’s regulations:
