When utilizing a Matrox card, you’ll encounter intuitive options for configuring NMOS (Networked Media Open Specifications) to enhance network integration and SMPTE-2059 (PTP - Precision Time Protocol) to ensure precise timing synchronization, as shown below.
NMOS enabled: when this option is enabled, the system automatically detects video formats, audio settings, and IP addresses using NMOS. To configure these settings manually, leave this option unchecked and fill in the newly opened fields for video, audio, and ancillary (ANC) IPs, along with their corresponding ports:
SMPTE-2059 (PTP): by selecting the Use default settings option, the system will automatically configure the card's PTP settings. However, to manually adjust these settings, leave this option unchecked. This will enable additional fields for configuring the PTP connection manually.
