MAM4PRO version: 2022.01.00
Widely known as an open standard for high-quality, low-latency video streaming over IP networks, NDI® (Network Device Interface) is also part of the range of protocols supported by MAM4PRO.
Let’s take a look at how to generate and receive NDI stream in MAM4PRO.
First, add a stream output like the one in the image below:
In the “Source Name” field enter the name that will be used for signal recognition at your destination.
After that, add a recording workflow and in that, select the newly created stream output as storage:
Go to the Dashboard and in the “Player” widget, select the recording workflow and click the “Record” button:
In order to receive the NDI® signal on another MAM4PRO server on the network, we need to create the stream input like the one in the image below:
The “Source Name” field lists the names of all NDI® signals received in your MAM4PRO instance (in our example “defaultNDI”). Click on it to select the name that was defined in your signal source.
Note: you can select from a range of NDI® sources available on the network other than the one created by MAM4PRO.
After that, go to the Dashboard and configure the “Player” widget to receive the previously created signal:
Once this is done, check that the signal is being received:
