The “Markers” widget is responsible for the management of locators during video playout.
Tip: if there is a Player widget configured on the dashboard, you can drag an asset from the “Asset Selection” to the “Markers” to start playing the asset and show its locators and comments.
The “Locators Source” tab informs the user through flags where an event occurred and presents the following components:
Notes:
- Adding, editing, and deleting locators while playing a group of assets without Gang Play will update all players and assets in the group;
- If the dashboard has no players, the actions “Edit Locator with current player timecode” and “Seek to locator” will be disabled.
The “Comments” tab presents comments about the asset and shares opinions about it with other users. This tab presents the following components:
1 Only the creators of the comments can edit them.
It is possible to edit and delete responses to comments too. To do this, hover over an answer and click on one of the icons below:

The “Enhanced Metadata” tab shows the metadata collected from the asset when executing an enhancement metadata workflow (chapter “Creating a Metadata Enhancement Workflow”. Easily navigate through the asset by clicking on the displayed markings. This tab has the following components:

Audio mute | Indicates the start point of the absolute silence excerpt |
Audio phase | Indicates points detected as out of phase in stereo streams |
Mono | Indicates points detected as mono sequences in stereo streams |
Black frame | Indicates the start and end point of the excerpts with black frames |
Loudness | Indicates the start and end point of the excerpts with peak volume detected |
Audio clipping | Indicates the point of audio peak or the start and end point of the excerpts with the peak of the audio signal |
Timecode gap detection | Indicates the point where a timecode gap was detected. Only for assets that support timecode breaks |
Notes:
When playing an asset that has locators generated by enhancement metadata workflows and placing it on the respective tab of the "Markers" widget, the locators and a filter on the right side will be displayed in the "Player" widget as shown below:
- When there are superimposed locators on the timeline, the icon will be a gradient with the colors of all locators that would be superimposed, and the tool- tip will also show information about all the locators:
- Adding, editing, and deleting locators while playing a group of assets without Gang Play will update all players and assets in the group.
There is also an extra “Settings” window, to access it, in the upper right corner of the widget, click on the “Options” menu and then on “Settings”.
