¶ Playing an Asset

To start playing an asset, you will need to have configured storage “Adding Storage” and a location “Adding Locations”, as this is where the assets will be searched.
Once that’s done, follow the steps below to start playing an asset.
- In the Navigation menu (left of the screen) click the “DASHBOARD” module;
- Go to the “Rough Cut” dashboard. To do this, in the dashboard navigation (bottom center bar), click on the chosen Dashboard;
- On the “Player” widget, click on the options
menu (upper right corner) and then on the “Settings” option and define the following options:
a. Player Service: select from the available options the output service instance. The output instances available here are those configured in the rPlayerSDI service in the control panel;
b. Command Bar: click to select the type of command bar, among the available options (e.g. WEB Editor);
c. Click the “Save” button. - In the “Asset Browser” widget, select the location of the asset;
- In the “Asset Explorer” widget, select the assets you want to play;
- In the “Asset Selection” widget, hover over the asset to show the “Play” button and click on it;
