Vizzi version: 1.14.0
There are 3 ways of adding VODs to Vizzi:
Here, we will focus on the 1st approach.
First, go to the “VODs” menu, click the “UPLOAD” button at the top right of the screen, and fill in some basic information about the content, such as the title, description, and the categories it belongs to:
To make the media viewable on the frontend, that is, by the end-user, check the “Online” option. If the content is virtual reality, check the “360 VR” option, and if you want the content to be available for embedding on third-party websites, check the “Embeddable” option.
Note: for VOD to be present on the frontend, it must be included in a collection and a product both as online. Check out this page to learn more about it.
Next, drag and drop a video into the gray box below “File to Upload” or click on the upload area and select the desired file:
Notice in the image above that the chosen video will appear below the gray box.
Once this is done, click the “SAVE AND SHOW” button and you are good to go. The platform will take care of all the required steps automatically in the background. You can monitor the processing status by refreshing the “DETAILS” tab:
When the status is “COMPLETED” you can navigate between the tabs and check the auto-populated data, as well as the thumbnails, posters, and preview the renditions generated by the Vizzi transcoder. If you want to edit some information, click on the “EDIT” button (upper right corner of the screen) and navigate between the tabs to add the information.
Note: when editing thumbnails and posters, after clicking on the “SAVE” button, you should wait around 5 seconds until the refresh button
in the right corner at the top of the page rotates, indicating that the image has been uploaded. After that, click the “EDIT” button (top right of the screen) and navigate to the “THUMBNAILS” or “POSTER” tab once more. In the URL field, you should now have a URL (if you don’t see it, please refresh the page before continuing). To finish editing, click the “MAKE DEFAULT” button under the gray box.
