¶ Making Rough Cuts

The MAM4PRO allows cutting during media playback. To do this, make sure you have an ingest workflow to run after the cuts. After that, follow the procedure detailed in page Playing an Asset with the Rough Cut dashboard configured and follow these steps below.
In the Player widget, click on the options 
menu (upper right corner) and then on the “Settings” option and set the command bar as Web Editor.
Select the asset to be cut with the help of the widgets Asset Browser and Asset Explorer.
In the Asset Selection widget, hover over the asset to show the “Play” button and click on it:
While the asset is playing, click the Mark In 
and Mark Out 
buttons to mark the start and end points of the cut and click Add to Edit Decision List 
to add to the currently selected Edit Decision List.
When running a workflow that has a clip naming set, you will need to clear the text in the Filename column for each cut you want to run the workflow. Otherwise, the clip’s naming setting will not affect the asset.
In the Process column, select which cuts you want to ingest.
Then, in the Job Control widget, select the workflow created to place the clips in storage.
To check the status of the ingest operation, go to the Activity widget and select the Flows view:
